Job Summary
Boise Cascade is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant Superintendent to oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe production of our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership
- Direct and supervise production and manufacturing activities to meet established process and product specifications, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, economy, and safety of operations.
- Safety and Compliance
- Ensure a safe work environment for employees that meets or exceeds regulatory compliance levels.
- Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Supply Chain Management
- Work with suppliers to recommend equipment and supplies needed to maintain an efficient and up-to-date manufacturing facility.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Engineering and Maintenance
- Coordinate engineering on new projects and existing equipment upgrades.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure equipment is properly maintained.
- Financial Management
- Prepare and review budget information to ensure compliance with budget requirements.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability.
- Team Leadership
- Provide guidance and support to supervisors to maintain satisfactory employee and labor relations.
- Develop and implement training programs to improve employee skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production leadership role.
- Proven track record of improving efficiency, economy, and safety of operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
