The role is to coordinate all appointment bookings for patients requiring surgical procedures within Ophthalmology, ensuring that all patients have their pre-assessment appointments and surgery dates booked appropriately and in a timely manner.

As an Assistant Admissions Scheduler, you will be liaising with both patients and clinicians on a daily basis, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining effective communication.

You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and efficient booking service, working as part of the Admissions Office to deliver the best possible experience for patients and colleagues.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. You should also have a strong understanding of admissions and waiting list procedures, equivalent to NVQ Level 3.

The ideal candidate will have evidence of competence in literacy and numeracy, as well as experience of dealing with public inquiries. Knowledge of ophthalmology terminology is desirable.
