About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crew Manager to lead our Technical Rescue Unit, providing a specialist response service to the people of West Sussex.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality response to a range of operational incidents, including working at height, water, animal rescues, and body recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of firefighters in operational incidents
  • Providing technical guidance and support to team members
  • Developing and implementing effective response plans
  • Collaborating with other emergency services and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Substantive competent Firefighter with demonstrated competence against the NJC Firefighter role map
  • Incident Command Level 1 (Initial) certification
  • Current full UK driving licence and LGV driving licence
  • IOSH Supervising Safely qualification
