Salary

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of up to £35,000 per annum, with regular reviews and incremental salary improvements based on performance.

Job Description

This role involves supporting all areas of the business to ensure effective IT solutions are in place at all times. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the end-user base with 1st/2nd/3rd line incident tickets
  • Project management work
  • Supporting key business systems
  • Performance management of business systems
  • Performing hardware and software maintenance/upgrades where needed
  • Managing third-party suppliers
  • Documenting software and systems
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Microsoft Windows Server Management (2012/2016/2019)
  • Desktop PCs and Operating Systems (Windows 10/8/7/XP)
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
  • Networking and firewalls including VLANs, trunking, content filtering, and application rules
  • Cisco VOIP Telephone installs and maintenance
  • Virtualisation technologies including Hyper-V and VMware vSphere
  • Backup/DR technologies including Veeam
  • ERP/Business Process Knowledge
  • IT Security - Desktop/File & Folder/Network/Internet
  • Retail EPOS experience
  • Advanced hardware/software diagnosis and fault-finding skills
Benefits

  • Salary up to £35,000 per annum – with regular reviews and incremental salary / positional improvement based upon performance
  • 28 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • £200 payment for on-call (1 in 4 remote on-call and only after month 2 of employment)

  • Co car to be used for dual-site visits (within nearby locations)
  • 5-day working week (early finish Fridays at 12 noon)
