Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a mainstream primary school in Gosport. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with their learning journeys, working collaboratively with the class teacher and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with their learning, adapting lesson content as needed to meet individual needs
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Develop and maintain a trusted relationship with pupils, providing emotional support and encouragement
  • Assist with the delivery of lesson content, working with pupils to ensure they understand and engage with the material
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children and young people in an educational setting
  • Ability to adapt and work in a variety of ways, including one-to-one and small group settings
  • Experience working with pupils with special educational needs, including those with EHCPs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
