Job Description

Job Title: Director of School Improvement

Job Summary: Nova Education Trust is seeking an inspirational and strategic Director of School Improvement to join our dynamic Executive Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the trust's overall strategic direction, ensuring effective communication, leadership, and enactment of Nova's vision for excellence and school transformation.
  • Work collaboratively with the Chief Executive Officer, all members of the Executive Leadership Team and wider school leaders to lead positive change and improvement in primary schools.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive school improvement, focusing on academic achievement, pupil well-being, and staff development.
  • Provide guidance and support to school leaders, teachers, and support staff to ensure the effective implementation of trust-wide initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of school improvement initiatives, making recommendations for future development.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working collaboratively to lead positive change and improvement in primary schools.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to think strategically, with a focus on driving school improvement and achieving excellence.
  • Knowledge of education policy and legislation, with the ability to apply this in a school improvement context.
