Job Title: Manual Machinist

We are working with a leading international machinery manufacturer based in the East of England. They have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Manual Machinist to join their team.

About the Role:
As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for manufacturing components from drawings, working to specific tolerances and within agreed time-frames. You will ensure all parts are available for the assembly process as required.

The Ideal Candidate:
You will have a time served apprenticeship or equivalent experience in a relevant industry. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Selecting appropriate machine and tooling to manufacture components as specified on drawings
  • Selecting appropriate materials for each job as described in the drawing
  • Running machines to produce required components
  • Checking and verifying accuracy of components once manufactured
  • Daily and accurate completion of records, including time-sheets and inspection status documentations
  • Reporting any manufacturing errors to the team leader so corrective action can be agreed

What We Offer:
This is a day shift role, Monday to Friday, with overtime paid at time and a half after 37 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have good attention to detail, good oral communication skills, and be a team player. You will also have a flexible attitude and be willing to learn and develop your skills.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
