Job Summary

Dr Mahbub's Surgery, Brace Street Health Centre, is a well-established and friendly medical practice seeking a dedicated and compassionate Salaried General Practitioner to join our supportive team. We serve a patient population of approximately 3,300 and are committed to providing high-quality primary care services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in a primary care setting, including face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations.
  • Manage a range of acute and chronic conditions, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
  • Participate in practice meetings and contribute to the development of the surgery, including the implementation of new policies and procedures.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and appraisal activities to ensure evidence-based best practice.
About Us

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Salaried General Practitioner to work 4 sessions per week over two days. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a full range of primary care services to our patient population.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
  • Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organization.
  • Assess the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, and develop care plans in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.
  • Provide counseling and health education, and admit or discharge patients to and from the caseload as appropriate.
  • Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards, and collect data for audit purposes and comply with QOF requirements.
Requirements
  • Qualified General Practitioner with MRCGP and GMC Registration.
  • National Performers List Registration and eligibility to practice in the UK independently.
  • Appropriate Defense Indemnity.
  • Experience of QOF and clinical audit is desirable, as is a general understanding of the GMS Contract.
Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will work 4 sessions per week over two days, and will be expected to participate in an annual individual performance review and contribute to the development of computer-based patient records.
