Job Overview
Maximus is seeking a skilled Nurse Functional Assessor to join our team in a full-time capacity. As a key member of our Assessments Division, you will play a vital role in helping people move forward with their lives by assessing their disability or health condition's impact on their daily life.
About the Role
As a Nurse Functional Assessor, you will carry out telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to gather information about a person's condition and its effects. You will use your clinical skills to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments to understand a person's disability or health condition's impact on their daily life
- Produce high-quality reports to support the DWP's decision-making process
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to manage caseloads efficiently and deliver excellent customer service
Requirements
- NMC registration as a nurse with 1 year's broad post-registration experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet individual and team targets
- Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
