Social Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Safe and Protect Team in Carlisle. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable children and families, ensuring their safety and well-being through proactive interventions and support.
Job Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments to identify risks and needs of children and families, developing and implementing effective protection plans to ensure their safety and welfare.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including families, schools, health services, and other professionals, to deliver coordinated interventions and promote positive outcomes.
- Attend and participate in child protection case conferences, strategy meetings, and core group meetings, providing timely and accurate reports for court proceedings, safeguarding reviews, and care planning meetings.
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Significant experience working in child protection or safeguarding roles, with a strong understanding of child protection legislation, safeguarding procedures, and relevant policies.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage a complex caseload and work effectively under pressure.
