We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Animal Care Specialist to join our dynamic team at GLG Vets. As part of our vibrant veterinary practice, you will provide exceptional care to animals while working collaboratively with our team.

Job Details
Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
Working Hours: Up to 4 days per week with 1:4 Saturday mornings. No out-of-hours work, Sundays or bank holidays.
Salary: Up to £70,000 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine examinations, diagnostics, and treatments for various animal species.
  • Perform surgical procedures as needed, including spaying, neutering, and minor surgeries.
  • Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide guidance and advice to pet owners on general animal care, feeding, and wellness.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and progress.

Requirements
  • Veterinary degree from a recognized institution.
  • Valid UK veterinary license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Compassionate and caring approach to animals.
