We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Social Work Resource Assistant. This is a 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to Social Workers and Managers across Adult Services, ensuring compliance with current legislation and Council policies.
- Communicate effectively with service users, their representatives, and other stakeholders, including Social Workers, Team Managers, GPs, and other providers.
- Update and maintain client databases, monitoring and managing outlook mailboxes as required.
- Assist with incoming calls, signposting, and passing on relevant information to Social Workers.
- Support teams and managers with updating, maintaining social work pending/allocation lists/screening/locality/Legal spreadsheets, and provide statistical information as needed.
- Coordinate and book screening appointments, send appointment letters, book meeting rooms, and follow up on support documentation.
Requirements:
- Experience of dealing with the public and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work to Legislative/Corporate procedures, processes, and guidelines.
