Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cost Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale programme of work in the nuclear energy sector. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers and programme managers to drive performance standards and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive performance standards and technical excellence through expert communication.
- Support project managers and programme managers in monthly finance and delivery reviews.
- Provide informed forecasts for the project, working closely with the project manager and programme manager.
- Collaborate with the project planner to ensure forecasts are informed and aligned to the programme.
- Review and track costs and forecasts to ensure continued affordability.
- Produce cost reporting outputs in a timely manner for month-end reporting.
- Attend monthly supplier project meetings and carry out associated contract administration as required.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with experience of working in a wider project controls or commercial team on complex projects. A detailed working knowledge of cost engineering functions, cost control, and cost analysis is essential, preferably from a nuclear or highly regulated environment.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
NEC Contracts knowledge, CEMAR, and Chartered status are highly desirable.
Location and Security Requirements
This position is based in Glasgow City Centre and requires SC clearance.
