About the Role

The Vetting Officer Development Programme is a 13-month tailored programme designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to succeed as a Vetting Officer at MI5. As a Vetting Officer, you will play a critical role in managing risks that might make our work vulnerable and identifying individuals who could pose a threat to national security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective vetting frameworks and policies to ensure the integrity of our operations
  • Conduct thorough interviews and assessments to identify potential security risks
  • Collaborate with colleagues to gather and analyse intelligence, and develop strategies to mitigate threats
  • Provide training and support to colleagues to enhance their knowledge and skills in vetting and security
