We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Scientist to join our Radiology Physics team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing scientific, technical, and regulatory expertise to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Main Responsibilities- Provide specialized scientific, technical, and regulatory expertise to the Trust and other organizations.
- Plan and manage your own workload and projects, prioritizing work appropriately and adapting to emerging urgent requests.
- Work with the Radiology Physics Team Lead to provide a safe, efficient, and effective service.
- Act as Medical Physics Expert (MPE) for Radiology as required by the Ionising Radiations (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017.
- Support the Medical Physics Governance Groups, including Quality & Risk and Finance & Performance.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of research and development projects.
- Honours degree in a relevant subject.
- Extensive experience working in the field of diagnostic radiology physics and radiation protection.
- Highly developed manual dexterity and the ability to make accurate, precise measurements using sophisticated testing equipment.
