About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Scientist to join our Radiology Physics team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing scientific, technical, and regulatory expertise to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized scientific, technical, and regulatory expertise to the Trust and other organizations.
  • Plan and manage your own workload and projects, prioritizing work appropriately and adapting to emerging urgent requests.
  • Work with the Radiology Physics Team Lead to provide a safe, efficient, and effective service.
  • Act as Medical Physics Expert (MPE) for Radiology as required by the Ionising Radiations (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017.
  • Support the Medical Physics Governance Groups, including Quality & Risk and Finance & Performance.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of research and development projects.
Requirements
  • Honours degree in a relevant subject.
  • Extensive experience working in the field of diagnostic radiology physics and radiation protection.
  • Highly developed manual dexterity and the ability to make accurate, precise measurements using sophisticated testing equipment.
