Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, annual bonuses, and pension scheme enrollment.

Job Description

As an Ecological Specialist, you will be responsible for leading and assisting with ecological surveys, data analysis, and report writing.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ecology, environmental science, or a related field, with excellent bird identification skills and experience in a range of ornithology surveys and techniques.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients across various projects, utilizing your expertise to provide technical advice and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and assist with ecological surveys, including vantage points, breeding and wintering birds, raptors, farmland, and waders.
  • Analyze and present data, as well as draft technical reports.
  • Provide advice on ecological and ornithological matters to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Mentor and support staff with an interest in Ornithology, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster their professional development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Excellent bird identification skills and experience in a range of ornithology surveys and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a team of colleagues.
