About the Role

We work with billions of training data images to leverage some of the world's most complex and general purpose AI models. As a Backend Engineer, you will design, build and orchestrate backend services that enable our customers to train and leverage AI models in an elegant and performant way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable, asynchronous systems to support our AI features.
  • Take ownership of backend tasks related to our model training and inference systems, focusing on enhancing visibility and minimizing costs.
  • Facilitate seamless integration between V7's web application and our AI system, serving as the crucial link to optimize our system for labeller's speed.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or higher in Computer Science or a related field such as physics, STEM, Mathematics.
  • Expertise in designing and building scalable, asynchronous systems.
  • Expertise in functional programming or a huge interest in learning FP; we will consider experience in many languages including Elixir, Rust, Haskell, Clojure, Scala, F#, Golang, Ruby or Kotlin, to name a few.
  • You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a high tolerance for ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • You are eager to demonstrate initiative from day one by proactively providing input and delivering value beyond immediate tasks.
