Job Title: CNC Miller

Job Type: Permanent, Nights

Location: Weymouth

Pay: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, including shift allowance

Hours: 6pm-6am, Monday to Thursday

About the Company: Our client is a leading manufacturer of complex aerospace components, renowned for their commitment to excellence and quality.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join our team, responsible for operating 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling machines, inspecting and checking own work, and maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC milling machines to manufacture components from engineering drawings to the correct quality standards.
  • Inspect and check own work using inspection equipment, ensuring total process control is maintained.
  • Manufacture components from engineering drawings to the correct quality standards.
  • Ensure that information relating to the manufacturing process is accurately recorded, maintained, and updated to reflect current process on job cards.
  • Ensure that preventative machine maintenance schedules are strictly carried out.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy work environment at all times.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent (indentures accepted).
  • Programming experience of Heidenhain (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Heidenhain control systems.
  • Aerospace industry experience desired.
  • Experience working with engineering drawings and work to instructions, i.e., job cards.
  • Ability to set and operate different machine tools.
  • PC literate.
