Lancashire County Council is seeking a committed individual to join their catering service as a Food Service Assistant. This role involves working as part of a team to provide high-quality meals for school children in the Preston area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the dining area for service, including setting up furniture and cleaning.
  • Assist in food preparation, cooking, and serving.
  • Clean all equipment and catering areas.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
  • Good customer care skills.
  • Previous catering experience desirable.
  • A willingness to be trained.
  • A flexible attitude to work with a willingness to travel.

Working Hours/Days:

  • Monday to Friday.
  • Term time only.
  • 16.25 hours per week.
