About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Training Equipment Project Management Team at Raytheon UK. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all project engineering and technical disciplines within projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and accuracy from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  • Interact daily with clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
  • Perform overall quality control of work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status.
  • Assign responsibilities and mentor project team members.
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project managers and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
  • Work with third-party contractors to develop viable time scales and working practices.
  • Perform other duties required to complete the Training Equipment Service.
  • Ensure adequate knowledge of and compliance with the Health and Safety policy and regulations consistent with their responsibilities.
  • Proven experience of applying project engineering/electrical principles practically (ideally in a military technical environment).
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualisation software such as AutoCAD/VISIO.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with project team members, clients, and superiors at all levels and in all areas of management.
  • Full UK Driving Licence with the ability to travel between sites.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Demonstrates a commitment to continuing professional development (CPD).
  • Time management and organisational skills.
  • IOSH Level 3 Managing Safely.
  • Desired Education:
  • Current engineer license.
  • BSc degree in Engineering or relevant experience.
