Mechanic

TEXO Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join their team in Aberdeen on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all company-owned equipment, performing repairs and servicing on mobilized equipment, and keeping up-to-date service records. They will also work closely with the Certification Coordinator to ensure all matters regarding certification are handled efficiently.
- Participate in daily Tool Box Talks to ensure a safe and controlled work environment.
- Perform company operations in a safe and controlled manner, ensuring the safety of yourself, colleagues, and associated personnel.
- Execute workshop and yard-related activities, including maintenance, fabrication, and equipment function testing.
- Ensure all equipment is allocated and prepared for operational jobs in line with load out requirements.
- Investigate and rectify defects reported from jobs to prevent re-occurrence.
- Maintain personal house-keeping to a high standard to improve efficiency and safety.
- Ensure all equipment is stored in designated areas of the workshop/yard.
- Adhere to Company's policies and procedures.
- Liaise with stores to ensure spare parts are available for routine maintenance.
- Mentor trainees during their time in the workshop.
- Assist the Logistics Coordinator with kit allocation for mobilization.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Maintenance Chargehand or Equipment Manager.
- Proven mechanical background with experience in diesel engines, fluid pumps, and nitrogen equipment.
- Ability to read and understand technical schematics.
- Strong technical knowledge of Pipeline and Process testing operations and equipment used.
- Founding in large diesel units.
- HGV Mechanical Experience.
