The Omega Resource Group is a leading employment agency specialising in opportunities within the Engineering, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Automotive, Electronics, Defence, Scientific, Energy & Renewables and Tech sectors. We are currently seeking an experienced Chief Network Architect to join our team.

About the Role:

This is a permanent position based in Redhill. As a Chief Network Architect, you will be responsible for assisting in the system engineering processes within the team. The team designs and integrates various services, including bespoke hardware and software developments for customers, on-board vessel and land networks for fleets, and system design and integration to suit clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To act as an in-house expert on selected systems and applications, keeping up-to-date with new developments in the IT & Communications industry
  • To provide accurate and timely technical information or analyses on a variety of engineering investigations
  • To support the design, requirement capture, and development of new solutions
  • To produce and maintain detailed technical documentation relating to new solutions
  • To own, investigate, and resolve escalated engineering service issues

Requirements:

We are looking for a professional and flexible individual with a proactive approach and a strong ability to diagnose complex faults. You should have a good knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts, including Routing, Switching, Firewalling, and Layer 7 firewalls. Linux experience (CentOS/Ubuntu, Apache, MySQL) is also essential.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
