Commercial Finance Business Partner

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Finance Business Partner to join our team at Asda Stores Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with the business leadership team, driving performance improvement and supporting the strategic direction of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the business leadership team to surface value-add ideas, understand risks & opportunities, and rigorously challenge mitigation and action planning.
  • Manage the long-range, in-year, and short-term planning process for revenue and costs, incorporating the latest information into a robust outlook and ensuring alignment with our corporate financial and strategic plans.
  • Value-add analysis: In collaboration with the finance analysts and the data and analytics team, you'll turn insights into actions to identify value-add opportunities.
  • Investment Appraisal: Lead the assessment of projects that redefine our store operations, driving cost efficiency and elevating our customer proposition.
  • Own the month-end performance narrative, ensuring performance is understood and necessary future actions are in place.
  • Working with senior finance and non-finance stakeholders, you'll help make complex financial concepts easily understood and actionable.
  • Play an active role within the wider finance community.
