About the Role

Bury Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Team Manager to lead our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team. As a key member of our social work team, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely assessment and intervention for children in need of support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 5 social workers, providing professional and reflective supervision to ensure high-quality work and improved outcomes for children.
  • Contribute to the development of our 'Let's Do it for Children' vision, working closely with colleagues to identify and address the needs of children and families in Bury.
  • Support staff learning and development, ensuring that our team has the skills and knowledge needed to deliver excellent services.
  • Chair meetings and provide guidance on legislation and professional practice to ensure that our team is equipped to work effectively with children and families.
