Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Hours: 7am-5:15pm Mon-Thurs

As a Quality Assurance Technician at Workforce Staffing Ltd, you will be responsible for performing mechanical inspections, documenting inspection results, and inputting data into the quality database. You will also raise and sign release documents in accordance with company directives and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and approve incoming/outgoing materials/products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and reporting non-conforming materials/products to the Head of Inspection/QA.
  • Perform first off, in-process, and final inspections by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to production supervisors/operators.
  • Read technical drawings, control plans, and specifications to understand product requirements and services.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into the quality database.
  • Maintain measurement equipment by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and reporting faulty or out-of-calibration equipment to QA.
  • Communicate with the Quality/Engineering department on defect prevention and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform other reasonable duties within the business as required.
  • Adhere to the company's health and safety requirements and complete necessary training.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of quality control/inspection standards and testing techniques/methods.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and GD&T.
  • Good math and technical skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
  • General knowledge of gear metrology.
  • FAIR/PPAP knowledge.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment/under pressure.
