Our client is a leading UK-based construction company with a strong presence in the reinforced concrete frame and groundworks sector. With a turnover of over £150 million, they have established themselves as a major player in the industry, delivering high-quality projects across various sectors, including industrial, commercial, and residential.

About the Role

Based at the company's head office in Harrow, you will be part of a dynamic purchasing team responsible for procuring materials and managing plant equipment for multiple projects in and around London. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the commercial director to oversee the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procure materials and equipment for live sites, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
  • Manage the company's plant equipment, including small tools and large machinery, to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team to develop and implement procurement strategies that meet business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and terms to secure the best value for the company.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Construction Buyer or equivalent role.
  • Previous experience working with a Civil or RC Frame contractor.
Benefits and Rewards
