About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Site Manager to oversee the construction of a new Ministry of Defense (MOD) prison facility in the North West. This is a fixed-term contract position, ideal for a professional with a strong background in managing secure and sensitive construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Oversight: Take full responsibility for managing all on-site activities, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  2. Health and Safety Management: Implement and maintain strict health and safety protocols in line with MOD regulations, ensuring the safety of all personnel on site.
  3. Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between the construction team, subcontractors, and MOD representatives, ensuring clear communication and efficient workflow.
  4. Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work to ensure it meets the required specifications and MOD standards, conducting regular inspections and audits.
  5. Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the project progresses without significant issues.
  6. Reporting and Compliance: Provide detailed and timely reports on project progress, challenges, and milestones to senior management and MOD officials, ensuring all work adheres to MOD guidelines, including security protocols specific to prison construction projects.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of site management experience, with at least 2 years working on MOD or high-security projects, preferably in prison construction.
  2. Certifications: Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid & DBS certificates are mandatory. A degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
