Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Healthcare Professional to join our team as a Special Needs Nurse in Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality healthcare services to children and young people with complex health needs in special schools. This will involve working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, educational staff, and social services, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

The role will require the ability to work flexibly, prioritizing workload and maintaining high standards at all times. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering holistic healthcare services to children and young people with complex health needs
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
  • Maintaining accurate and contemporaneous records in accordance with trust policies and NMC guidelines
  • Participating in clinical audit programs and evaluating own practice within the clinical area
Requirements
  • NMC Registered Nurse (adult, child or learning disability)
  • Diploma in nursing/Degree
  • Experience in working with special needs children and young people
  • Experience of multidisciplinary team working
