About this Programme
Scotiabank's UpLIFTED Women in Finance Development programme is a selective four-month programme designed for female-identifying, first-year students (or second-years on a four-year degree) who have an interest in finance. Our programme supports and develops women early in their academic career by providing exposure, insights, and opportunities to learn about finance from experienced professionals.
The programme will run from the beginning of January 2025 to the end of April 2025. During the programme, participants will be assigned a mentor, have access to targeted workshops to help participants prepare for a career in finance, and have the opportunity to participate in candid discussions about what it means to be a woman in finance.
Programme topics may include, but are not limited to:
- Career Pathways Workshops
- Leadership Speaker Series
- Networking and Interview Workshops
- Technical Skills Workshops
- Office Visits (location dependent)
Participants will also have regular 1-1 sessions with their mentors and Scotiabank careers advisors.
Programme Eligibility:
We are seeking highly motivated individuals who are interested in learning and development opportunities within Global Banking & Markets. To be considered for the UpLIFTED Programme, candidates will need to demonstrate a high level of energy, a keen desire to learn new concepts, and a defined interest in the financial markets.
To apply, you must:
- Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in any discipline in Ireland
- Be a current first-year student on a three-year degree, or second-year student on a four-year degree
- Self-identify as a woman
- Have a demonstrated passion for and interest in learning about capital markets and finance
- Be able to attend regular mentor meetings and programme workshops for the duration of the 4-month programme
This programme is open to students studying in Ireland. Due to the geographically concentrated nature of the industry, geographic proximity between advisors and participants may not always be feasible.
Application Process:
- Submit your CV via the "Resume" section of this application (please note a cover letter is not required)
- Complete a one-way video interview
- Attend a virtual interview
We thank all candidates for taking the time to apply; however, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
At Scotiabank, we value the unique skills and experiences each individual brings to the Bank, and are committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive and accessible environment for everyone. If you require accommodation (including, but not limited to, an accessible interview site, alternate format documents, ASL Interpreter, or Assistive Technology) during the recruitment and selection process, please let our Recruitment team know. If you require technical assistance, please click here. Candidates must apply directly online to be considered for this role. We thank all applicants for their interest in a career at Scotiabank; however, only those candidates who are selected for an interview will be contacted.
