Park Maintenance Officer

Full Time, Permanent
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Parks Cleansing officer. You will be working in our beautiful estates, formal parks, and nature reserves, as well as around play areas and sports pitches across the city.
As a Parks Cleansing officer, you will have an important and visible role, working outdoors in all weathers to ensure our parks and green spaces are welcoming and attractive places to visit.
You will be working some weekends on a rota, which will involve working an average of two weekends a month.
As a committed individual in this role, we will offer you training and support to progress into gardener and chargehand positions as opportunities open up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Litter picking and bin emptying
- Grass cutting and shrub maintenance using hand-held machinery
- Clearing flytips from parks and green spaces
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence and ability to drive a wide range of vehicles
- Ability to carry out the physical demands of the role, working outdoors and at weekends
- Knowledge of health and safety in the workplace
- Good communication skills
Our team works out of two locations: Sea Mills Depot and Cater Road. You may also be required to work in other areas of the city.
