Nottingham, Nottingham, United Kingdom Commify Group Full time

We're seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our Customer Upgrades team at Commify Group. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-scalable APIs and ETL tooling to ensure successful customer upgrades from existing Commify products to our strategic Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS).

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a cutting-edge technology stack and contribute to the development of highly performant, scalable, and mission-critical software systems. As part of a collaborative team, you'll work closely with product managers and owners to refine requirements into deliverable user stories and tasks, and collaborate with technical leads, architects, and product owners on technical input into stories and designs.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing new implementations of existing public-facing APIs that match existing API contracts and behaviours but map into the new CPaaS to complete functions such as SMS message sends or account balance enquiries.
  2. Understanding data models for existing messaging products to perform a mapping of entities into the strategic CPaaS in order to extract, transform, and load data using internal APIs.
  3. Participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle as part of a close-knit, highly collaborative team.
  4. Contributing to agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, planning meetings, and retrospectives.
  5. Providing specialist technical support to colleagues both in and out of hours.
  6. Investigating, designing, planning, and estimating potential projects and features.
  7. Assisting Technical Leads and Engineering Managers in peer/coding reviews.
  8. Aligning the engineering team to deliver product features that meet customer outcomes and use data to continuously learn, test, and improve the quality and value of features.

The ideal candidate should have:

At least 2 years of experience in software development, preferably in a similar role.

A solid understanding of scalable cloud solutions using development frameworks and languages in C# .NET/.NET Core.

Demonstrable experience of delivering high-quality software in one or more modern languages.

Experience with Agile methodology principles and practices.

A good understanding of Microsoft Azure services.

A competitive salary range of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

A company bonus scheme based on performance.

Private healthcare and dental benefits.

27 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.

Birthday off work.

5% employer pension contribution.

£350 Christmas voucher.

Training and development opportunities.

Hybrid working arrangement.
