Digital Surgery is revolutionizing healthcare by providing real-time guidance and decision support inside the operating room. As a Software Engineer on our real-time video processing team, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing video processing pipelines running on computing systems deployed in the operating room.

A Day in the Life

  • Design and implement high-performance video capture, processing, AI inference, visualization, and streaming software using hardware acceleration.
  • Leverage your expertise in Nvidia Holoscan, Deepstream, and/or Gstreamer to develop robust and secure-by-design software for a medical device.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to maintain a high level of quality and reliability in submitted code and participate in team code reviews.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with C++11 or higher, multi-threading, inter-process communication, and performance optimization.
  • Excellent knowledge of software design principles and C++ design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience designing low-latency, high-performance, real-time video or image processing software.
  • Ability to write clear, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience with Pytorch/TensorFlow or similar machine learning frameworks.
  • Knowledge of video compression and coding (e.g., H.264, H.265, VP9).
