Ecologist BNG Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Ecologist to join our team as a BNG Specialist in Exeter. As an expert in biodiversity net gain, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategies that align with regulatory and project-specific needs.

About the Role

This is a permanent position that requires a proven track record in ecology, with a strong focus on BNG methodologies and policies. You will collaborate with ecologists, planners, engineers, and environmental experts to incorporate biodiversity net gain into various projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform BNG assessments and create biodiversity and habitat management plans.
  • Provide guidance on ecological improvements and interact with stakeholders to promote sustainable results.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in ecology, with a strong focus on BNG methodologies and policies.
  • Familiarity with biodiversity assessment tools (e.g., DEFRA Metric) and GIS.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborative, multidisciplinary project delivery.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Full right to work in the UK
