Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Class 2 General Maintenance Operative to work in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and operation of machinery in accordance with established protocols.
  • Driving and operating specialized vehicles and equipment to maintain the site.
  • General labouring duties including removal of dirt and detritus from the sites, utilizing sweeping, hosing, shovelling, and cleaning, including using a range of mechanical equipment and operating small mobile plant and forklift trucks.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within the workplace.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, addressing any queries or concerns effectively.
  • General handyman duties such as minor repairs, installations of equipment, and any general tasks that may be required.
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role or environment is advantageous.
  • MUST HOLD CLASS 2 LICENCE.
  • General handyman experience required.
  • Must be available for short-term call out.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in supervising teams.
  • Will have experience of Labouring in either an industrial or building and civil engineering environment and, due to the nature of the role, must be prepared to work in inclement weather and conditions when necessary.
  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining high-quality standards.

The estimated salary for this position is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
