About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Cleaning Operative to join our team at Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our sites, adhering to high standards of service and health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organisation in all areas of the site
- Operate a variety of cleaning equipment and machinery
- Empty bins, dust and sanitise surfaces, and perform other cleaning tasks as required
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and managers to ensure seamless service delivery
About You
We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential. You will be required to operate a variety of cleaning equipment and machinery, and full training will be provided. This role will be physically challenging and involves manual handling activities.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive hourly rate, 22.5 days annual leave (rising to 25 after 5 years' service), plus bank holidays, uniform, PPE, and a Defined Contribution pension scheme. You will also have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
