Mathematics Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Mathematics Faculty Member to teach college-level mathematics courses at Virginia Peninsula Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering instruction, assessing student learning, and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach mathematics courses to students at various levels of proficiency
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and assessments
• Provide individualized support and feedback to students
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and submit final grade rosters

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Mathematics or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits in Mathematics
• Ability to teach at all campuses and partner locations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for the discipline and a commitment to student-centered learning

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience teaching at the college or university level
• Experience with instructional technologies and learning management systems
• Demonstrated ability to measure and assess student outcomes
