About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Conservation Ranger to join our team at the National Trust. As a champion of nature conservation, you will play a crucial role in protecting and improving our countryside and coast for wildlife and people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve habitats and landscapes through practical conservation work
  • Engage with visitors and stakeholders to promote the importance of conservation and the work of the National Trust
  • Work collaboratively with volunteers and other teams to achieve conservation goals
  • Conduct ecological surveys and monitor the impact of conservation efforts
  • Develop and implement conservation plans to protect and enhance biodiversity

Requirements

  • Practical experience in conservation work, including habitat management and species conservation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work safely and use risk assessments and guidelines
  • Experience in managing land, access, and conservation, and working outdoors
  • Ability to use machinery and equipment, with relevant certificates
  • Full UK driving license
