Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Health Industry Specialist to join our team at Pearson. As an independent end-point assessor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of Community Health and Wellbeing Worker L3 apprenticeships.

The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience, as well as strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of relevant legislation. They must also be able to assess free from bias and report risks accurately.

In this role, you will conduct end-point assessments, maintain quality assurance, and support Pearson with appeals and continuous improvement. You will work closely with individuals, groups, and communities to identify health and wellbeing needs, improve health, prevent ill-health, and reduce inequalities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing the performance of candidates in accordance with published assessment and grading criteria and procedures
  • Maintaining service-level agreements regarding responding to EPA planning, operational activities, reports, and submissions of assessment outcomes
  • Reporting all risks and issues encountered during the end-point assessment to Pearson
  • Ensuring all EPA reports and assessment evidence are high quality and recorded accurately
  • Supporting Pearson with appeals from apprentices regarding assessment decisions

The estimated salary for this role is £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. The role requires regular training, standardisation activities, and ongoing CPD. Assessors must be independent of the registered apprenticeship training provider and have personal IT equipment, a suitable broadband connection, and a postal address in the UK or Republic of Ireland.
