About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Software Developer to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a key member of our development team, you will be working on high-profile projects with the UK Government, utilizing your expertise in Oracle and PL-SQL to deliver innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy large-scale Oracle-based applications for local authorities and central government clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring optimal performance and security
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our development processes
Requirements
  • Proven experience in full life cycle development of large applications using an Oracle database and toolset
  • Strong PL/SQL skills, with experience in writing design specifications, problem-solving, and performance tuning
  • Experience with web design and Oracle Apex
  • Appreciation of application and data security
  • Relevant Computer Science or Technical Degree
  • Experience with technologies including XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, HTML, and CSS
