Game Developer Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Senior Game Programmer to join our Development team in Leamington Spa. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the core technology, support junior developers, and ensure smooth project execution.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality game code, ensuring it meets project goals and expectations.
  • Assist junior developers in debugging complex issues, leveraging in-depth knowledge of debugging tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with third-party developers, submitting bug reports and working with external teams to resolve issues.
  • Analyze and improve workflows for junior and intermediate developers, focusing on code performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Deeply understand Unity's build pipeline, including deploying projects to multiple platforms and ensuring compliance with platform-specific requirements.
  • Provide constructive feedback on UMLs and produce comprehensive diagrams for core systems, facilitating team understanding.
  • Work closely with project leads, scheduling project meetings, taking actionable notes, and maintaining open communication within the programming team.
  • Ensure project compliance and submission readiness for multiple platforms, drawing upon experience with shipped titles and platform-specific requirements.
  • Demonstrate exceptional time management skills, accurately assessing the time impact of new features and requests during project development.
  • Encourage open communication within the programming team, take on challenging tasks, and proactively contribute to the department's growth.
  • Develop and deliver training workshops to mentor and train other developers, providing constructive and effective feedback for continuous team growth.
Requirements
  • Proven experience with Unity, including the build pipeline and deploying to various platforms.
  • Knowledge of debugging tools, C# compilation, and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with compliance and the submission process for multiple platforms.
  • Ability to analyze workflows and improve team efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • At least one shipped title across multiple platforms.
  • Based in one of our office hubs, following our hybrid model with 4 days per week on-site.
