Job Title: Night Porter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and responsible Night Porter to join our team at the Holiday Inn Basildon. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing guest requests, ensuring security and safety procedures are adhered to, and providing general support to the hotel staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage guest requests and ensure they are handled promptly and professionally.
• Maintain security and safety procedures during the night shift.
• Perform regular security checks throughout the hotel.
• Provide general support to the hotel staff during the night shift.
• Assist with any maintenance or housekeeping tasks that may arise.
• Set up meeting rooms and other areas as required.
• Serve food and beverages to guests as required.
• Check guests in and out of the hotel as required.
• Handle any emergency situations that may arise.
• Prepare reports for senior management as required.

About the Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working in a hotel or similar environment, preferably in a night porter role.
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A good understanding of safety and security procedures.
• The ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to work evenings and weekends if required.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
