Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, located in Shrewsbury. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.

This role involves carrying out all aspects of radiotherapy treatment, working alongside other professional groups to develop site-specific techniques and improving the quality of care for patients receiving radiotherapy in this department.

• To work in line with the requirements of the Radiotherapy Services Manager and carry out all aspects of radiotherapy treatment.
• To collaborate with other teams to develop innovative techniques that enhance patient care and outcomes.

• A degree in radiography or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive experience with radiotherapy equipment and techniques.
• Experience with megavoltage, orthovoltage, and superficial treatment units.
• Familiarity with legislation associated with ionising radiation in medicine (IRMER) and health and safety procedures.

• A competitive salary of approximately £38,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
