About The Solutions

Role and Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts to meet the end-of-month deadline
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Analyze P&L nominal accounts each month to ensure completeness
  • Enhance current reconciliations to minimize the risk of human error and automate where possible
  • Act as a point of contact for auditors during the audit, providing reconciliations and addressing queries on balance sheet and P&L items
  • Conduct deep dives into balance sheet items as needed, collaborating with other departments to ensure the accuracy of data for reconciliations
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and projects as required

Skills and Qualifications required

  • Fully qualified accountant with ACA or CIMA certification
  • Audit experience is beneficial
  • Two years of post-qualification industry experience, with a focus on closing the monthly books and management accounts, would be advantageous
  • Experience with reconciliations is essential, with the ability to understand what constitutes a good reconciliation and its importance
  • Management experience is not essential, but experience coaching and mentoring junior staff, such as an audit senior position, is beneficial
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
