We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Nationwide Platforms Limited.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of powered access machines. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced mechanical or electrical engineer looking to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with our Senior Service Engineer to ensure the effective running of the depot workshop, carrying out pre-delivery inspections of machines at client premises and at the depot, and repairing machines as required to ensure conformance with manufacturer's specifications and company policy.

In addition to your technical skills, you will provide excellent customer service, ensuring that customers are satisfied with the machine they receive and that they understand how to operate it safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior Service Engineer in the effective running of the Depot workshop within the region.
  • Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines at client premises and at depot as required, and in conformance with manufacturer's specification, company policy and the regulations affecting the use.
  • Repair machines at depot or on site as required to ensure conformance with manufactures specification and company policy.
  • To complete planned maintenance activities including maintaining the appearance of the fleet to corporate standard.
  • Handover machines to customers and familiarise customers with safe machine operation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Act as an ambassador for the company, providing a high standard of customer care and being polite at all times.
  • Accurately complete all relevant paperwork including engineer's report, off hire, pre/delivery inspection and service sheets.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A relevant general engineering maintenance qualification, preferably to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • Experience in diesel engineering, auto electrics, hydraulics and diagnostics fault finding.
What We Offer

Nationwide Platforms Limited offers a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including life assurance, Westfield healthcare plan, 25 days holiday and a pension scheme.

Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5:30pm, with opportunities for career progression and professional development.
