Job Title: Early Years SEN Support Assistant
About the Role:
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking an experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to provide support to a child in Early Years within a mainstream primary school in Lewisham. As a SEN TA, you will be responsible for providing 1:1 support to the child with sensory needs, implementing techniques from Attention Autism to enhance engagement and learning, and assisting with personal care as part of the child's daily routine.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a child in the nursery with sensory needs
- Implement techniques from Attention Autism to support engagement and learning
- Assist with personal care as part of the child's daily routine
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to ensure the child's needs are met
- Create a nurturing and inclusive environment for early development
Requirements:
- Experience working with sensory needs and a solid understanding of early years education
- Familiarity with Attention Autism approaches is highly desirable
- A compassionate and proactive individual committed to supporting children with additional needs
