Recreational Activities Coordinator

Brent, Greater London, United Kingdom NFP People Full time
About the Role

As a Recreational Activities Coordinator, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, creative, and fun programme of activities for young people aged 8-19 (up to 25 with disabilities). You will work across all Youth Zone sessions, ensuring a safe and active space for young people to flourish in their leisure time.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for putting young people first and a willingness to work evenings and weekends. You will be responsible for the continuous improvement of the delivery and inputting towards the strategic delivery plan for the Youth Zone.

About You

We are looking for a Recreational Activities Coordinator with a relevant qualification or strong demonstrable experience in Youth Work. You will have evidence of ongoing professional development and experience of working with young people in a range of settings.

You will have a strong understanding of the needs of young people and be able to engage vulnerable, disengaged, or hard-to-reach young people in activities in-line with relevant guidance and good practice.

About the Organisation

Hammersmith & Fulham (H&F) is a London Borough with a high need for youth services. The Youth Zone is a vital provision that will make a huge impact on the lives of young people, and on the whole borough, levelling the playing field for our young people.

We are an equal opportunities' employer, and applications are welcome from under-represented groups; in particular from Black, Asian, Mixed Race and other ethnically diverse individuals, people with disabilities, and members of LGBTQ+ communities.

What We Offer

We offer a safe and active space for young people to flourish in their leisure time, where their interests can be nurtured, and they can grow as individuals. This is a charity that the whole community can be proud of, and you can be part of that journey.
