Job Summary

We are looking for an Engagement Producer to join our team in Birmingham. As a key member of our content team, you will be responsible for managing our social media channels and newsletters, implementing projects to grow our audience, and creating engaging content to promote our brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a wide range of social media channels and newsletters to engage with our audience and promote our content
  • Develop and implement projects to grow our registered users and interact with our readers on our website and social media platforms
  • Use analytical tools to understand what works best and evolve our content strategy
  • Work with our video teams to create engaging content and run Facebook Lives on key issues affecting our audience

Requirements

  • NCTJ or equivalent journalism degree and knowledge of media law
  • Content writing experience, preferably as a reporter
  • Strong people management skills
  • Digital publishing skills
  • Social media skills
  • Passion for digital storytelling in local journalism
  • Deep knowledge of media law
  • Strong understanding of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
  • Expert in audience engagement
