Are you a finance and accounting expert looking for a high-impact leadership role at a leading company? Amazon's finance team is seeking a skilled Finance Manager, Accounting to drive mission-critical financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee national and international accounting projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution.
  2. Partner with Tax and Legal departments to drive business growth and compliance.
  3. Develop and implement financial processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  4. Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing of financial books, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  5. Evaluate and assess GAAP to GAAP differences, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  6. Drive improvements in accounting processes, internal workflows, and best practices.
About the Role

As a Finance Manager, Accounting, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Amazon's Munich office. You will work closely with the finance team to drive financial performance, ensure compliance, and implement best practices.

Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  2. Strong knowledge of US-GAAP or IFRS and any other local GAAP.
  3. Several years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably gained within a Big Four firm and/or a multinational organization.
  4. Excellent communication skills with fluent English.
  5. Proficient Microsoft Excel User.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause, and creating/implementing an escalation plan.
  2. Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification.
  3. Demonstrated history of solving multiple and complex accounting and/or financial reporting challenges.
  4. Entrepreneurial, hands-on, can-do attitude and ability to think outside the box.
