About the Role

The Restaurant Manager at Bombay Story Indian Kitchen & Bar is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and minimizing labor costs.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer complaints and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a positive attitude and work ethic, and promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Work with food and drink suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Ensure all food safety procedures are strictly followed, adhering to sanitary regulations and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, equipment maintenance, and property management.
  • Assist in implementing training programs for staff, ensuring they are equipped to provide excellent customer service and maintain high standards of quality.
  • Manage daily stock levels, ordering supplies as needed, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Control and manage staff administration, including scheduling, holiday forms, and expenses.
  • Hold daily meetings with the team to ensure effective communication and motivation.
  • Monitor and support the personal development of team members, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Manage the maintenance of equipment and facilities, ensuring they are in good working order and meet health and safety standards.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to HACCP procedures and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
  • Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
