About the Position:
The University of Stirling is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join our IT team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining emerging cloud IT infrastructure and existing core on-premises systems.

Your Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Microsoft and Unix Team Leaders to design and develop emerging cloud IT infrastructure and existing core on-premises systems.
- Develop automation scripts and tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Troubleshoot complex system problems and recommend courses of action to be taken.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in systems administration, both on premises and in a cloud platform.
- Proficiency in a scripting/programming language.
- Strong understanding of networking, both physical and virtual, with a solid understanding of network security.
- Experience with containerization and DevOps principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
